MASALA VEDA | THUNA PAHA | YALPAN

These three spice blends (m​asala) ​although distinct in their flavor palate are prepared in a similar way. These m​asalas​are used in Sri Lankan kitchens for flavoring vegetables, legumes, meats, and fish. Masala is an excellent marinade for grilled seafood.

Kiri Hodhi is Southern Sri Lankan soul food. It's warming in temperature but cooling in its essence (g​una)​. The soup can be eaten as is or cooked like a broth with veggies. It is especially satisfying with boiled eggs, this dish known as “B​ithara Kiri Hodhi” and usually, served for breakfast and accompanied with roti (flat bread), rice, string hoppers (rice noodle cakes), Appam (crispy rice flour bread).

VEDA CHAI•INGURÚ TÉ•KAHA•VEDA COFFEE

These teas and coffee blends are made with Sri Lanka Black tea and coffee. Veda Chai or Té comes to you in two blends; a spice infused "m​asala" Chai ​and a classically Sri Lankan Chai infused with ginger. The teas are lightly sweetened with j​aggery​ (a hardened coconut or palm molasses). The robust flavour of Veda Coffee is enhanced with a blend of coriander and freshly ground black pepper.
